The cost is for two persons sharing a canoe and includes everything below:
Your bespoke itinerary for your journey: We take time to get to know what would make your adventure on the Severn perfect. Taking care of booking and planning on your behalf so you get the real Shropshire experience
Equipment
2 Man Canoe: Hire of a two-man canoe for the trip, all our boats are in top condition and will have comfy webbed seats.
Buoyancy Aids: Safety first – we make sure you have a well-fitting comfortable buoyancy aid and show you how to fit yourself – so please wear it!
Paddles: A paddle each plus we like to add a spare just in case or upgrade to a wooden one to keep.
Dry Barrels: Put your important stuff in a dry bag and then the barrel, this allows for a belt & braces approach to keeping valuables dry
Cables & Locks: This allows you to know your boat is safe if you go to shops or overnight on campsites etc.
Maps, Guides & License
Waterproof Maps: not so much for stopping you get lost, but rather allow you to track distance and see what’s within an easy exploration of the river.
River Guide: What to look out for and useful tip bits of information about the river and history.
Camping & Accommodation Guide: so you can plan your accommodation along the way.
Full River Safety Guide: written by ourselves and constantly updated to reflect the changes on the river.
British Waterways Licence: not a requirement for most of the journey but when it comes time to go through the Locks, saves so much time and effort otherwise you would be portaging,
Support, Safety & Logistics
Support: We will stay in contact with you during the week via text, updating you on any river level or weather issues that may arise and make sure you’re on track for your finish point or recalculate for you if need be.
Safety: We also track your boat for extra safety, so we know how your progressing or easily to track you down in an emergency.
Free Parking for your vehicle can be arranged for the week or a pick-up from the local train station.
Drop off: We will drop you off with your boat and equipment at the start point along with an in-depth briefing.
Pick Up: Once you make your finishing point we arrange to pick you up, plus boat/ & equipment, to be returned to your car or local railway station.
What is not included.
Camping equipment: If choosing to camp any of the nights you will need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, stove, pots, etc.
Food & Drinks: Breakfast is usually standard for all the accommodation providers. Evening meals can be arranged through the accommodation providers as part of the package for an additional cost, but you will need to provide your own drinks, snacks, and lunch during the daytime, although we can help you make arrangements & we have been known to meet you with a glass of something fizzy to celebrate your adventure’s completion.
